About Brad DeForest
Your Web Design Needs, My Unique Skill Set
I offer exceptional skill at creative design and a strong instinct for web technology, combined with an aptitude for business strategy grounded in hard-won experience.
Creativity + Practicality = An Effective Approach
I am a creative guy with a strong practical streak: that is what businesses, nonprofits, and professionals need today to be effective in new media and keep costs reasonable.
My Focus is on Your Unique Strengths
I believe I offer two important qualities: humility and willingness to listen. I listen carefully to each client, and keep the focus on his or her unique strengths and business needs.
Individuality & Authenticity
I learned thru my experience: Each client and each project is special. Cookie cutter solutions will not get the best results. The web and new media marketing thrive on individuality and authenticity.
My Brick and Mortar Roots
I have dedicated my career to creative design and making projects come to life. Before building in the virtual world, I built in the real world. In college I studied architecture. I began my career with a Pennsylvania architectural and engineering firm.
In addition to building design and project management, I took on the responsibility for marketing my firm, which included developing and implementing our web strategy.
The Web Takes Over the World and My Life
I became fascinated by the combination of design and technology that went into making an effective website. Before my eyes and fingertips, technology began taking off. Faster speeds, new and better graphic design tools, social media, smartphones, tablets: I became more intrigued.
As the years went by, the web took over more and more of my working life. Now I serve full time as a web design and marketing consultant to all kinds of people and organizations.
I’ve been fortunate to work with a wonderful variety of clients, from individual shop owners and non-profit organizations to Fortune 500 companies. I’ve learned from them all.
Facebook Strategy for Small Business
I’ve helped many locally-owned business in my town build Facebook business pages and develop Facebook strategy. It’s gratifying to see entrepreneurs start with at best a sparse Business Facebook page with few followers and scant posts, and work with them as they progress to a lively, vibrant page with thousands of followers. Few things are as rewarding in my profession as hearing a small business owner say I helped them succeed in business.
My Small Part in Helping the World
I am proud of my work with nonprofits. I’ve had the privilege of working with the Clery Center for Security On Campus, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing criminal violence at colleges and universities. I also perform work for Humankind Water, whose mission is to provide clean and safe drinking water to people in need.

My Life Outside of Work
I am married to a beautiful woman and we have two beautiful, smart, and creative daughters, who are a source of happiness and pride for us both.
We live in Skippack, Pennsylvania, a unique, historic small town, about 30 miles from Philadelphia. In fact, I am co-owner of the largest community website for Skippack, and manage the web design and social media. To find out about my amazing town, check out our website I Love Skippack.
I am active in my community in other ways as well. I serve as chairman of the Skippack Township Planning Commission. Skippack dates back to before the American Revolution. I have worked for historic preservation in my town through the local historical society.
I enjoy escaping now and again to some small quiet Pennsylvania creeks to go fly fishing for brook and brown trout. I also enjoy sampling craft beers, especially locally-brewed, and brewing beer in my home. And with that, I will close my laptop and go to the fridge pull out a Yuengling Lager or Sly Fox Rt. 113 IPA and enjoy a beer with my wife as we prepare dinner after a full day.
